Compression Therapy
Inflatable sleeves that apply rhythmic pressure to the legs during your visit.
What it is
Compression therapy uses sleeves that inflate and deflate in sequence along the limb, applying gentle rhythmic pressure. It is a mechanical add-on rather than anything given into the body, and it runs during your infusion, so it adds no time to the appointment.
What it is used for
- Applies intermittent external pressure to the legs*
- Commonly used by athletes as part of a post-training routine*
- Frequently chosen alongside a recovery-focused drip*
How we give it
Sleeves are fitted at the start of your visit and run through the infusion. You stay seated or lying down throughout.
Good to know
Should it hurt?
No. It should feel like firm, moving pressure: a squeeze that travels up the leg. Pain, pins and needles, or numbness mean the pressure is too high or the fit is wrong. Say so and your nurse will adjust or remove it.
